Monday December 14th 2009
Twenty four year 8 and 9 pupils rehearsed from September with our Chorley Schools Dance Coach Alex McKenna to participate in the Lancashire Schools Dance Festival held on Thursday 26th November at the Guild Hall in Preston.
Albany were one of three Chorley schools to have been selected to perform, with a further 12 schools from surrounding areas in Lancashire making it a total of 15 schools performing.
The pupils performed Working 9 to 5 and the Can Can. The audience of nearly 2000 people clapped the group along throughout their performance. This was a fantastic experience for all the pupils, complemented with a fantastic performance by all.
