Congratulations to Year 10 pupils who, when they were in Year 9, completed all the assessments for FCSE (Foundation Certificate of Secondary Education) in French. The scores have been agreed by the Exam Board and certificates will be presented for the level achieved, Distinction (48 pupils), Merit (19 pupils), Pass (21 pupils).
They are the first year group to have the opportunity to gain this qualification, which recognises achievement in French at the end of Key Stage 3. Pupils are assessed in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The Albany French teachers are pleased with the way the pupils rose to the challenge and managed to complete all three units, even though time was limited.
