Year 10 & 11 Army Visit
Fifty year 10 and 11 pupils spent the morning at Fulwood Barracks to experience a taster session about life in the Army. They took part in a number of activities which included paint-balling; archery; sitting in a tank; driving a crane and wall climbing. Members of the Army were on hand to offer advice and answer any questions the pupils had.
Comments from pupils about the day:
“It was quite frightening and claustrophobic sitting in the tank, there wasn’t much space to move”
“I had a really good time….I can’t believe I steered that crane!!”
“The paint-balling was good and I hit all the targets”
“Army staff were really helpful”
The staff and pupils from Albany Science College would like to thank Fulwood Barracks and The Kings Army Hussars for making the visit possible.
