Each year Albany Science College visits the Aosta Valley in the Italian Alps for a week long ski and snowboarding course. This highly popular trip caters for all abilities and is open to Years 7 to 10 inclusive.
Pupils have 4 hours tuition each day from qualified BASI instructors and are assessed at the end of the week. The evenings are spent enjoying activities such as bowling, karaoke and eating an unlimited supply of pizza!
This trip has provided some of our pupils with the opportunity to work in the snow sports industry and for many it has given them the ability and confidence to ski or board in any resort for the rest of their lives!
The PE Department organise annual visits to Borwick Hall for Year 7 pupils during October and to Tower Wood for Year 9 pupils during November. (14th-18th November 2011) These trips encourage pupils to interact with each other through team building tasks, develop confidence and increase self esteem. If you would like more information about these trips see Mr Peacock or any of the PE staff.
